Jan emigrated to Australia 39 years ago. His son’s, Marcin, last memory of him is a visit at a photo salon. Over the years they have exchanged a handful of letters and that was the extent of their relationship. When Jan decides to visit Poland, Marcin finds the only photograph of the two of them together and suggests they have a similar one taken after 39 years. He thinks this would be a way to establish a bond. He wants to understand his father. Jan can’t seem to explain his decision to avoid contact with his son for so many years.
The film was screened at the 48th Lubuskie Film Summer and at the 11th SOLANIN FILM FESTIWAL in the documentary film competition.
